Account Deletion Policy

Under modern data protection standards and regulations (including India's digital privacy rules), Listen Astro provides users with full authority over their personal details and account status. You can choose to delete your account at any time.

1. How to Initiate Account Deletion

To request complete account deletion, you may use either of the following pathways:

  • In-App Path: Open the mobile application, navigate to your Profile or settings screen, and select the "Delete Account" option. This will direct you to our canonical deletion request page or submit an automated deletion ticket.
  • Support Email: Send a deletion request email from your registered email address to our Grievance Officer at listenastro.workspace@gmail.com.

2. What Data is Wiped

Upon receiving and validating your account deletion request, our technical team will process the purge within 30 days. The following data is permanently wiped:

  • Your name, email address, profile picture, phone number, and Firebase Authentication UID are deleted.
  • All saved birth profiles, custom configuration parameters, and calculated planetary charts.
  • Active chat histories, consultation logs, and support ticket transcripts are scrubbed from our active databases.

3. Retained Financial & KYC Records

In compliance with Indian financial laws, GST rules, tax audits, and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, any financial records cannot be instantly erased.

Listen Astro is legally required to retain transaction ledgers, wallet recharges, invoice details, payout logs, and Cashfree gateway reference IDs in our secure archives for a period of 7 years. These archived records are strictly restricted from general platform operations and are preserved solely for legal audit and tax compliance purposes.
